Since 1890

For five generations, the Boccara family has been a leading name in the field of Art and Antiquity, with particular expertise in antique tapestries and carpets, as well as modern artist carpets. Founded in Lyon, our house, now the oldest in France in this field, has built a reputation for excellence. My grandfather Robert BOCCARA and my father Thierry BOCCARA ran an iconic gallery on Place Bellecour in Lyon frequented by collectors and art lovers from all over the world, in search of unique and authentic pieces, while my great-uncle, Dario BOCCARA, perpetuated this artistic tradition in Paris, on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. Since 1890, my ancestors have made history by exhibiting at major Universal Exhibitions, notably in Paris in 1900, in Brussels in 1910, 1935, 1958 and in Ghent in 1913 where they also presented a department dedicated to jewelry. In 1914, a master's mark was created, attesting to their exceptional know-how, and this mark is still listed in the prestigious book of French master's marks.

This constant immersion in art and beauty has deeply marked me from a very young age. I grew up in an environment where each object had a story, where each work of art carried a soul, and this passion for art and aesthetics was naturally transmitted to me.

My Journey – From Art to Jewelry

Passionate about the world of auctions and art since childhood, I first studied law at the University Jean Moulin Lyon II then Art History at the University Paris X, while developing a fascination for precious stones, transmitted by my paternal grandmother. I started my stone collection at the age of 8 with amethysts and quartz, a passion that has never left me.

My first major professional turning point came during an internship at the Piasa studio in Paris with the director of the jewelry department, Mrs. TAJAN. It was a real revelation: I had found my path. I then decided to devote myself fully to this passion and continued my studies in gemmology, obtaining my diplomas with flying colors as well as the prestigious FEEG (Federation of European Education in Gemmology) certification.

My career path was then enriched by a valuable experience within the Millon study in Paris, in the jewelry department, where I perfected my expertise. After these years of learning and experience, I decided to launch my own brand specializing in the sale of vintage jewelry, a project that allows me to combine my love for history, art and precious stones.

Our investment and concept

Vintage jewelry is not only an object of beauty and history, it is also a sustainable and ethical investment. By choosing antique jewelry, we preserve exceptional know-how while contributing to a more responsible mode of consumption. Each piece has a soul, a unique character, and is part of an eco-responsible approach by avoiding the production of new materials.

In addition, investing in vintage jewelry means connecting to an era, a history, and precious materials that have stood the test of time. Each piece of jewelry is a legacy, a piece of art in its own right, whose value continues to grow over the years. Opting for a vintage piece of jewelry is both a timeless aesthetic choice and a gesture in favor of preserving heritage and the environment.
